Airtel -121 : Customer Frustating Center

Well i really got pissed off and frustrated with them, and why do they do something like this to me on friday ???? :(

About 2 Weeks back (Friday) : I got a Rs150 topup card from a grocery shop, happily scratched it.. as if there was some gift behind it. As everyone dose, I too tried to recharge my account using the pin I got, !st time it said, you didn't enter the right pin. I thought.. I must have done some typing mistake so carefully typed it again. This time they said, you have already tried this no. two times and If you type a wrong pin now, you wont be able to recharge. I was like, what to do now.. and soon realized I should use "121". So i called them, after so many press this press that, and then waiting so long listening to that irritating airtel music and other advtsmnts of world cup which india
had already lost, they pitied me and picked up the phone. (By this time I never knew this is just the beginning and I should get used to the process). She asked me my number my name... and many other details.. and before listening to the relevant thing she said, sir please try again now, you will be able to do it.. i was like.. did you listen to what i said, "your system doesn't wants me to enter this pin again".. but she still insisted on me typing it again. I said can you please check this pin for me, if it is used.. thankgod she did it for me. And her short and sweet answer was, sir this pin is already used, please contact the dealer who gave it to you. We cant do anything. What could I do, I went to that grocery shop again.. told him the whole story and he simply said, you scratched it.. I cant do anything.. I gave useless attempts calling 121 again and finally decided it was of no use, will have to forget my 150 Rs. I came back home and found a nice (for that time) way to recharge my cell, doing it online from my citibank account. I recharged my account and instantly got message that your account had been credited.. i was very happy.. till the day.. a VAS download message comes to me..



Wendnesday, 6pm (20th june): I get some message "your last Vas Download cost was Rs445.00, your current balance is -(read minus)30Rs". I called customer care again for the details of that LAST VAS DOWNLOAD of 450Rs:

Call begins: your name.. number. etc etc please.. after giving that.. hold for 30 secs... sir the amount of money you said is really a lot and server is down right now I'm checking it.. please hold for another 30 secs... i waited.. thinking so concerned they are about my money... finally he said.. sorry sir, we cant give you details.. system will get updated in another 24hrs.. please call us after that..

I finally gave up that day and thought to call after 24hrs... I couldn't use my GPRS.. couldn't call.. message.. anything.. for whole 24hrs.. Next day I called them after 6pm

Call begins: (default questions.. details and all ).. I told them about the whole issue.. (30secs hold 2 times.. ) & finally.. sir the system says, your account has been wrongly recharged and hung up..

I called again to know details.. the same process as above and he finally gave assurance to me, sir this has been done by mistake your account will be credited again in next 24hrs... (that meant another 24hrs & i couldn't use my phone)

I waited for next 24 hrs... its friday evening and I'm completely frustrated... anyways I called them again.. to hear that.. the server is down.. please call again later.. tried 3-4 times more atleast and they asked me to call after 2hrs.. I thought leave it now, let me recharge again atleast I would be able to use my phone for the weeknd.. but I was wrong.. how can I recharge.. they dint want me to use ma phone.. the server was down and i was not able to recharge online from citibank site as well.. I waited 2 hrs just to hear that, the amount I rechagred with was returned to citibank (which was not actually done), and they cant do anyting now.. I asked for details and they aksked me to contact citibank customer care. I was like.. please please please.. recharge my cell.. called them again and again.. yelled on them.. but no use.. finally they came up with a solution of disabling the customer care for me... and after pressing 9.. a voice message was left for me.. "to message them my query on 121 and wait for 24hrs for them to answer".. I had -30Rs balance.. so i was not even able to do that.. I felt like throwing this sim aways.. & try to live without this mobile.. had natural's icecream, just to cool myself down, went home and selpt.

Saturday was good day for me, early morning I checked my balance and I was happy to see my money back on my cell (donno wot worked.. my yelling or my request or wot).. whtevr be the case.. i was happy.. just thought to check my mails and found gprs still isnt activated.. i thought this will be my last 121 call and called them again.. some girl picked up.. and started same with details.. and default stuff.. finally coming to the point.. I told her please activate my mobile office (gprs) service.. she said i want to check the settings.. i said I knw the settings are correct please activate it again.. but she insisted in checking them again.. after evryting was done and she got convinced that each and evrything is correct.. she finally said.. ok sir.. I'm activating this service.. please restart your phone.. i donno why i did.. but i asked.. how should i convert this connection to postpaid.. and she started again with all the plans and details.. (when i want to talk they hang up.. and when i dont.. they will never end).. i finally said.. i'll check it later.. thanks for details and hungup..

I donno if this is just with airtel or with everyone.. but it was like they tried in best possible way to frustrate me as much as possible.. I hope i never need to call them again..

p.s. If anyone knows some good way of recharging cell please let me know :)
